Get your LBS to ring Sheppards (preferably Craig or the warrenty Guy Jon) or other wise KRD, or even David at Cycle supplies, one of those three will have what you need

whilst talking to KRD, I would get a spare tyre (just in case)

Ya, why not. It'll work. won't be as good as a proper sized one, but if you can't get a proper sized one, what ya gonna do. Biggest one we have, is a schrader in 700x35-43c

Cheers Dean.
Slacky, does that mean the valve is 35mm in length, to fit a tyre width 43mm? or something?

You are better off to try Ricky's stretch the 26 over putting in a 700x38/43 in as the 700's are very narrow tubes to be going into a 2.3

nope, means it is desinged to fit in a tyre between 35 and 43 wide, because you can also buy 700C tubes in 18 / 23, 25/32, then you add in the equation of valve stem length

I have seen 700c x 52mm tubes, which are the same thing, so talk to your LBS to establish a regular supply.

Let us know if you find another source!

As per PBR's advise, I got my LBS to contact David at Cycle Services (who happens to ride a 29er, has done for 5 years or something), he is sending up some Salsa 29" presta tubes.

Cheers all

The new bike, photo was taken a couple of weeks ago, only just got around to editing/posting it.

4130 butted cromoly frame/fork with eccentric bb to take care of chain tension, Juicy Fives

Also has my 5050xx pedals on it at the mo, they're so awesome, might have to buy another set to go back on the DH  :paranoid:
