I got an advance copy of the script, here's a summary;

Bad guys invade generic earth-like planet.
Master chief shoots bad guy (repeat x 300).
Good guys invade Halo ring planet thing.
Master chief shoots bad guy (repeat x 600)
Master chief shoots ultimate bad guy.
Story's ending is awful, is designed to make you want more but actually just pisses you off.

Yeah, wow, I can't wait :blink:

geeks are the target market. Hence early geek hyping.

If it was aimed at no life house wives the early hype would be in 'no life weekly' about which co star Hugh Grant was diddling, with blury paparazi pictures showing nothing more than a couple of people sharing a coffee.

:( but it has Karl "i'm a goddamned hottie" Urban in it! That alone will make it a good movie :rolleyes:
*drool*

Debatable. i've not played the game that much though.
Karl Urban is still a Hottie McHottson. The Rock was brilliant (also a hottie) although I think his character wasn't consistent enough for my liking and flipped out way to much towards the end.
Otherwise, in terms of a "bad movie" rating - it was a pretty good film! :thumbsup:

Halo The Movie has been delayed- http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/0,2106,3846174a10,00.html

Perhaps they were having trouble getting a script and cast that's as one dimensional and dull as the game :p

Seems like it is in a bit of trouble...DOOM was utter rubbish , even from a guy like me who played DOOM online an awful lot before i discovered 2 wheels and the outdoors :-) (and girls)

I heard recently somewhere on the net that MGM are talking to NewLine to acquire the rights to the Hobbit as a 2 film prequel to LOTR - and that they are talking to Peter Jackson about it. Why Newline wouldnt want to do this i dont know! it would get mega money from it, but i guess take mega money to produce....

They better hurry up before Gandalf looks older than he did in LOTR ! They are on about getting that Frodo actor to play the younger version of Bilbo...
