I'm keen to try a Diverse shock, or an Elka. Apparently they ride smoother than RC4s

A mate is running an Elka S5 on his Legend and says it does ride smoother than RC4. Few others are running them on Session 88's and say the same.

Not many Diverse shocks here but I have one to try for a race this weekend. Diverse shocks come with Ti springs as standard. Hopefully the DSP goes well for me!I have a few days on the track prior to racing which I will use to set it up.

I like the idea of low mounted shocks like that Banshee. I just wish you could have some sort of enclosed cover for them.

It would be interesting to see how muddy it would get,It looks quite shielded from roost.

Yeah the roost is shielded by the "canoe". This race was very muddy and the shock did not get too much thrown down on it from the rear wheel. They could probably use a bit of protection but we had four days of these conditions and no damage to the linkage on either of our bikes - bottom brackets were a different story. Even just a big velcro jobby like the shock protectors. I can't imagine it would add friction. That way your BB, pivots, linkage and most importantly your shock, are shielded from the crap. Basically like the RN01 had.
