Unfortunately this 'BOP Brevet' coincides with the second week of http://www.touraotearoa.nz/ (which starts 21 Feb), while the course has a Brevet style mix that's where the similarity ends, this one fully supported and costs $1800 / $3600 per person / 2 man team.
Warning, if you suffer from bright lights / migraines / epilepsy the amateurish website is very bright yellow http://www.kiwicrusade.co.nz/

A fast and fun 15km track at McLaren Falls with a few surprises. Teams will leave in 1 minute intervals with a start schedule being available at registration. McLaren Falls is approximately 10km out of Tauranga.

Main Race Route

The 6 daily stages will vary between 80-120km’s and can be completed by well prepared riders from novices to the experts. With around 10500m total climbing you will need to have done some training.

The main race route will start and finish from the idyllic Tauranga waterfront.

Day 1 sees the race head to the Kaimai Range down to the Karangahake Gorge and Hauraki Rail Trail to Thames to stop for the first night.

Day 2 sees the route take us from Thames up the Coromandel Peninsula through parts of the Coromandel Range to the town of Coromandel.

The town of Coromandel will be our hosts for 2 nights.

Day 3 sees us spending a day riding around the top of the peninsula before ending back at the comfort of the race village in Coromandel Town.

Day 4 sees the start of the return journey back down the Coromandel. We leave Coromandel Town for Coroglen, with a challenging climb over the Coromandel Range, the race village will be a welcome sight at the end of the stage.

Day 5 leaves Coroglen and heads down to Whangamata, another jewel in the Coromandel Peninsula and another good days riding. Savor these days as the Kiwi Crusade comes into its last day of riding.

Day 6 the final stage will be one for the stage contenders to either win the race or cement their positions, for the rest of the field it will be to enjoy what will have been an amazing weeks riding. We leave Whangamata and head back to Tauranga, finishing back on the Tauranga waterfront where family, friends and the city will come out to support you home.
