Alas my garden is all nice and planted with veges and strawberries and tomatoes, but 100kph northerlies seem to have had their wicked way with my plants.....damned wind!!! Oh well....I gave it a go, and some of it will survive.
I started the vege garden at our new place today. This consisted of digging a section of rubbish lawn, in preparation for potatoes. I thought I'd let the weeds get started, then I can hit them with the hoe before I actually plant the taters and some hardy greens - bok choy and silver beet? - in a couple of weeks. I really have only a marginal idea what I'm doing, but I'm sure I'll work it out.
When I say rubbish lawn - I ended up excavating a big metal box, loaded with a good few kilos of railway related ironmongery. This is a railway cottage after all!
