How does a rider get 'sucked' under truck going at a 'next to nothing' speed? Too many thing are confusing about the witness statement.

Weird that it happened on a pedestrian crossing too

Yes all very odd - and looks like the cyclist wasn't actually on the crossing either? (looked like the wheel was well and truly on top of the bike - so not pushing it along the ground).

I wonder how many of these cyclists in accidents actually consider law vs physics - did the cyclist make eye contact with the driver, or just assume she had right of way ...

Looks to me like there's a rubber burn on the bumper of the truck... or a very unfortunately placed black line from something else.
