Carterton Mtb Park

Postby hoofy on Fri 28/Aug/09 4:20pm

Next dig day will be on the Sunday 6Th Sep. 8am to 12.
End of Dalefield Rd, Carterton.(can't miss it)

We finished metaling the outer loop last time but still have plenty to do on the inner loop. Work is progressing well , hope we can keep this up which maybe a bit harder with events and fine weather for riding coming. So I hope you can make it along.

Remember these trails DON'T build themselves..

Making good progress on inner loop.
It is looking good and should be fun to ride when done.

Next working bee:
Sunday 6th December

We have built a stile so we dont have to climb over the fence.
The skills area has been started and the final drain should have a bridge over it soon.
still got some grooming and gravelling on the inner loop to complete.
watch out for that drain if you are riding around, theres not much stopping area!

next working bee;
21st Feb
As above,
We hope to have an offical opening of our 2Loop trail and skills area - mid March.
We need to get signage up and trial makers out plus a good clean up. There is still some burms that need abit of work plus weed spraying etc.
All welcome, bring your bike and do some laps, There is also Mt Dick to ride up and there is a new way down from the top - make sure your brakes are good :)
or explore some of the forestery tracks on the north face - but ruff but rideable.
