I think you might find that the Pike damper and spring won't slot in to the Tora CSU because the bottom on the stanchion tubes are "rolled" or pressed together where as the Pike will have a circlip or something like that holding the damper and spring in to the stanchions.

And yes, Dicks-naughty needs a softer spring, what sort of fork is it?

i am trying to build my new rig up and are coming acropper on a couple of things.

1. how do i change the bushings on my fox shock? both front and rear (terms ) need to be changed to fit the frame.

2. i have spaced my BB out 5mm on both sides, (73mm /150 / 83 cranks ) to get the chainguide to fit i take it that i need to space it out as well by 5mm?

3. big mother of a crown race. i have got a sunline headset that i need to pop the crown race onto some boxxers. the crownrace is huge, and doesn't look tapered in any way, how do i get this to seat properly? any tricks ?

Bushes or reducers? Reducers often just pull out by hand/pliers.

Your crown race needs to be smashed onto your steerer using maximum force. The steerer has the taper on it, not the race.

1: I assume you mean the reducers which are pressed in and can be pulled out with pliers, putting it in a vise or carefully prying them out with a screwdriver. They might need a bit of wiggling, but should pretty much just pull out.

2: That sounds really dodgy? an 83mm bottom bracket needs a 2.5mm spacer between the cup and frame anyway so to make that work you won't have anywhere near enough thread left in the frame and end up damaging your frame. You need cranks designed for a 68/73mm BB shell.

3: Crown races need to be smashed (for lack of a better word) on to the steerer so find a bit of pipe slightly bigger than the sterrer, slide it over and on to the crown race then hammer it down.

spacing out on the bb is very silly

raceface do a kit to fit 83 to 73/68 (for bikes with a wider chainline ala demos) and they space on the spindle not the bb.

2. the bottom bracket is 73mm, the crankset is 83mm. using a megaexo bb there is shitloads of thread left to do this. then i should get correct chainline for the 150 rear end. i have 5mm of spacers each side of the frame.

if i am wrong tell me.

Is the BB ISIS or external? I'm guessing it's ISIS if it's got lotsa thread...

Shock hardware
Bench vice (gently) and wrapped in a rag a couple of tomes so as not to ghark up the surfaces.
or if your bench vice doesn't have a knurled surface, clamp lightly, and turn side to side.
