CONTAINS POSSIBLE SPOILERS

I watched "Alien vs Predator" last night and was struck by two things:

1.) It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
2.) The Predators seemed to be getting pwned a bit more than you'd expect.

Look at it this way - in the movie "Predator" one Predator takes out a good chunk of a guerilla army and an elite squad of commandos. In the movie "Aliens" a elite squad of commandos take out (and granted are taken out by) hundreds of Aliens.

Yet in "Alien vs Predator" the Predators seems to be struggling with a handful of Aliens.

Watching the whole thing is an incredible act of endurance.

I found Alien vs Predator kinda entertaining

I reckon a preator could comfortably take out 100 Aliens

Its because they were noob predators, the predator in the second one is way more badass and kills heaps of aliens

You're perhaps forgetting Tama, that for a good portion of the time when the Predator is having trouble with the aliens, hes without the primary weapon - that shoulder mounted plasma thingy.
Once he gets that back things go a whole lot better.

and yep, then he/she/it goes up against the Queen alien, but how cool was that part

I think the movie was rather good. Ill refrain from saying anything about the 2nd AvP incase you havent seen that one.

Predator takes out lots of earth basic commando types, whereas Alien is up against spacefaring techno type commandos. Once you factor this in its more understandable.

Yeah I was also pleasantly surprised at how not shit it was. Definitely one of those movies where it's best if you don't go in with super high expectations. But ultimately it's similar in many ways to the recent Alien sequels and Predator 2 a little glammed up for 21st century Hollywood. Pales in comparison to Predator/Alien however. Reckon the Aliens advantage is strength in numbers. While the Predators are technically superior, they're also physically a little bit cumbersome where the Aliens are agile and super fast

its totally fucking awesome when the predator gets two of the shoulder mounted guns in the second one, he fucking wrecks some shittars good

We all know how it REALLY went down in this well known documentary series.

I quite liked the first AvP too. In spite of myself because I thought it would suck utterly.

Those Aliens are starting to get very clever in AVP 2 . Mr Predator better watch out if AVP 3 comes out - there is a gonna be tears

They also had sigourney weaver, who is one angry psycho bitch by the end of it all. She can single handedly kill more aliens than the average predator.

Yes. If the poll was changed to Alien vs. Predator Vs. Weaver, the weaver with the shaven beaver would kick their ass all the way to the crab nebula with a cold ass stare, that only a Weaver can wield with such ferocity.

The Aliens in AvP movies seem to be a bit on the dumb side.

There needs to be a Swarzenegger vs. Weaver poll.
