Pinkbike hosts a connection from freecaster so it wouldn't be any different i don't think. Apparently the connection problems last time were satellite issues,

They mentioned part way through that they had moved the satellite, though I didn't notice any difference. It was kinda good when freecaster wasn't actually free for that first round, since there was more bandwidth to share around and no disconnects. I hope Worlds is like that too, since you gotta pay (got my ticket already

You gotta feel for Freecaster - good guys trying to do their best with relatively limited resources and no one really wanting to pay. Intermittent Spikes in traffic, too, so hard to justify the expense of big server capacity.
Even when 06 Worlds were here in NZ, the website was moved to a server that could handle way more traffic for a couple of months - which was lucky, actually...

Can't wait.

I'd happily pay 4-5 dollars each time to watch if they really wanted us to. If it means we get to watch our NZ and christchurch guys race then why not? Cheaper than flying over there
