Who Else In Auckland Wants A Hillclimb Leaderboard (road)?

Whilst in CHCH for Xmas/New years I thought I'd get some riding in, so to give myself a challenge, I decided to give the CHCH Port Hills hill climb leader board a nudge.

What started out as a bit of harmless fun turned out to take most of holiday planning. So I thought I'd gauge interest (by starting a pole) on who would like one (or maybe two since we have 2 distinct geographic areas) up here.

I'll update the board and keep it running. But we'd all need a bit of a consensus on which climbs should be included (my vote goes for at least including Motutara Road out of Muriwai :satan:

), and then start and finish points. Some roads, already have 'natural ends' but others are less defined. I think the Waitaks would be a good place to start since there are a good number of climbs out there that are used regularly.

The climbs don't all need to be 20+ mins to be included, but should have a definite climb feel to them, but should be longer than about 5mins. And I was thinking 6-8 climbs minimum across a range of lengths and elevations

So what say ye?

BTW anybody that answers kittens will actually have voted yes when I tally them up

why?, some of the strongest "regular roadies" that I have ridden with, have been well into masters

I guess if there were enough riders that wanted seperate classes we could. But tbh, that's not really the aim.

2nd to that, you do realise I'm 35, so technically am a master too.
