Not me. Have ridden rain hail or shine for years but today was too much here in Tauranga today. Last nights ride home was pretty epic though.

Got my wife to drop me in, and in the time it took me to strap my son in his seat I was stoked through. Heavy, heavy rain and gusty. Lots of branches down.

I have man-flu so opted for the car. Shame because this morning looked like a nice day

I think you'll find I dont whinge much til it starts gusting 130 round these parts, and I get slightly annoyed by the helpful wellmeaning souls at work who suggest it might not be safe to ride home.
Doesnt even start to get exciting til gusting 150kph IMHO.

Well reasoned response, touche! Not as hard as you, I start to get a bit pissed off on the bike at 50kph windm, would prob go backwards at 51kph let alone 130 !..

Yep, I left Massey shortly after 7 - rode the racing bike but it was more suitable for my mountain bike, as there were some really interesting bits to ride, including Unitec with its minefield of gum tree spikey seed pods on the cycleway!

I rode to work this morning, was wet but not too bad, busted out the rain pants and a jacket and I was fine, plus the freeload rack on the back of the ARC makes a not bad mudguard

was much wetter riding home, but again, it was all good, I rode on quiet streets to avoid the post 5pm mayhem

Ride home was pretty scrappy, lots of gusts and coming in every direction.

Wasnt working, I do shift work, and wasnt on. Did go for a leisure ride yesterday (Wednesday) though, some fairly major damage evident along my usual leisure ride - tress down, fences damaged etc
