If the OP want to use the gloves in oily/solvent conditions then the typical food prep gloves (latex or vinyl) are not the best option as they tend to deteriorate quickly.

also nitrile is tougher so less likely to rip on any sharp parts, plus of course a lot of people have latex allergies

They are used in almost every milking shed in the country, so Wrightsons, RD1, Farmlands all stock them. Dont know if they will cost more or less than NZ safety though.
