I thought that was a flock of flying pigs I saw up the hill this morning :satan:

hot tip : lower east side track (from bowenvale ave up to the ranger station) is probably NOT a good choice for your first run ;) If the climb doesn't blow an artery the descent will wreck your knees

Am dusting the runners off today.

After a bloody nasty dose of the flu, getting back slowly with a little 5 km run, and then sunday given myself concussion, I'm out again this evening to get me home.

Prolly around Oriental, then up Carlton Gore then on and up along the "ridgeline" of Mt Vic.

Hey, if anyone in Welly is up for regular 5-5:30km lunchtime runs, sing out.

nearly 11km last night.

CBD to home, round the bays to 4km then up Mt Vic.

Nice.

And today, I feel pretty sweet!

Sumner, round the heads to Taylors Mistake, up by Anaconda then back round the Godley head track and down Captain Thomas.

Isa buggerd.

A very short run with the wife around the local walking track. Two shocking outcomes. Firstly that my wife is running, and secondly that my legs actually felt not bad, I might have to out for another

Urgh, I found that out the hard way! I was expecting it to go round the head, not over it...

be thankful you did the loop the way you did - hitting the whitewash track coming back from taylors to sumner at the end of a 2hrd run is really nice!

heading right out to boulder bay and up to the heads is cool too - nice flat track from taylors to godley, then a 'pleasant' climb up to the top (then pick up the nice smooth mtb track beneath the road back to to the top of anaconda)
