It is more crob drink than electrolyte drink... kinda tastes like the old Leppin glucose/maltodextrose powder I used to use when training back in the late 90s... but with Lime flavour. GOod post ride drink. Not so good on the ride.

Some people will just not learn

I have been drinking Isofuel recently...

Powder drink... and made right here in NZ!!

Not so keen on their lemon/lime but the berryfruit or the orange/mandarin are good!!

The problem with the FER stuff is it's a bit sickly sweet for drinking while riding.
So I think that'll become my post ride drink and I'll hunt for a good electrolyte poweder too....

Isofuel just buy @ Bikeshop?

should be able to buy at bikeshop. Distributed by Brandex in Chch...

Could possibly send you a sample if you were keen to try it (I know the guys who manufacture it).

That's odd...
Go to a ski shop that stocks Atomic and get them to get you some off Brandex.

Some of the bike shops are likely to have brandex as a supplier - Brandex sell Skins - those compression tight things...

If you have a LBS, they can always contact Brandex and hook it up... unless of course you feel the need to check out a shiny new pair of skis... mmmm skiing  I have nice new pair of kingswoods to try out this year!!

How did it go?

Taste like the bottled stuff?

I don't think I've ever tried bottled lemon-lime powerade before :eh: But it tasted OK. Just a pity I got some crazy stomach cramps 2 hours into my ride  I'm hoping they were hunger cramps (I get them occasionally) and not a reaction to the powerade. Will keep using it this week and hope for no repeat occurences.

also being so hot a the moment you do have to watch how much other fluid you are taking on, also look to what you did in the 3 hours before your ride, anything different?

Uh. Probably slept and then had a light lunch? :eh: It was a sunday after all

Am going to try it again this afternoon on my Tip Track ride(s) - wish me luck!

What I have found in my own riding / training that what I eat / don't eat in the 3-4 hours previous has big effects on my riding, I tend to find that I go waaay better with nothing at all in the 3 hours before a ride and I try and avoid large amounts of dairy at all befroe or dutring a ride, but that is me, what I was mearly pointing out was to think if you had done anything really diffeernt, ie been out for a huge b/fast or not eaten for hours (if thats not your normal routine)

I don't seem to do too well with high-intensity work early in the morning, which I'll have to work on because my races are all in the mornings
