be prepared for this thread to turn into a big shit fight :)

IMO - woodhill is big and relativly flat so easy to get around. It makes up for its lack of elevation by lots of built structures to keep you interested. The upside of no elevation is riding around is easy, even on a single speed. The down side is, well, there isnt that much by way of "down hill".

There are many trails, and they link fairly well. Prodominantly sand based, it is best after rain. After a long dry spell the riding can get a bit, um, harder.

i would recommend if you go there, ask a local to go with you. Chances are there are tracks there you will love, but you might ride around all day and not find them without a local to guide you :)

(I tried to be unbiased)

Yes woodhill has dirtjumps.

Woodhill is good if you like to get some airtime not so much if you don't.
It has plently of jumps, drops and stuctures but also a few good downwards trails especially the SPCA trail which is super fun.

Also being sand based, the best time to ride there is in winter. In the middle of summer it can get very soft and sandy.

More Dirt Jumps

Postby NipponRider on Wed 27/Sep/06 9:02pm

I think the plan is to build a lot more dirt jumps in the old car park. I heard a rumor bike parks was going to get a truck load of dirt put there for us to play with.

There is something in the park for everyones level.

When you get bored with Woodhill check out Riverhead Forest which is 10-15 minutes drive from Woodhill
