What Was In The Last Round Of Sprints?

Postby PO55M on Thu 5/Jul/07 3:34pm

I'm thinking of entering the sprints this month out at woodhill, but don't know which class to enter in. If i had some idea if the types of structures involved last time round, i might have a better idea on which class to enter. i can do most XXX and some XXXX jumps at woodhill, but as yet haven't mastered the whole balancing structure thing very well. Any tips or hints as to what might be in the sprints would be appreciated.

Good point for a first timer (in the sprints) how good do you have to be to enter huckers? For example if you can master such and such jump/trail/structure then your cool for huckers...?

you can always use the bypass. Plenty or people didn't do the high side of mayple last time.

you just get a small time penalty for not completing a stunt.

You'll be sweet!

so if i cant do any of maple at all, will i still be ok to enter? things like 31 and aviator are just a wee bit out of my reach at the moment, I've been told my abilities and balls exceed the abilities of my bike, lol.

I've seen mayple done on a bmx, so anything is possible. It just depends on what trails you want to do. If you want to do the trails that are in huckers class then do that and do the bypasses. If you wanna do the cruisers trails then do those.

ok, so do you know what trails were used for cruisers last time? and for huckers last time? I'm not trying to be annoying, I'm just trying to figure out which class to enter.
thanks for all your help :D

Yeah its a hard choice not knowing what the event is actually like as to which class to go in. I mean if your going to be bypassing 50% of the course in Huckers, you should go in a different class, but in saying that if your going to be bored as hell in cruisers the same could be said.

They do recommend doing cruisers if your new to it, so maybe that would be the best plan? just to get a feel for what things are like. it will still be a fun day out, and if we do need more "action", we can always do the haulers or huckers class next time round?

Dont do Huckers unless you can do everything at woodhill pretty much. Last time there was a 30 second time penalty if you missed a 5X

Considering ive only just gotten back on a bike in last 6 months after being off for over 10 years i might take your advice. Im confident on every 4X ive come accross but 5x is just that touch out of reach.. might play it safe this time around. :)
