Not much dirt dust on the road, unless you're doing the "Hell of the South" every other day!!

Took me ages to figure out it was the clamp. I replaced the BB (SKF stainless steel), removed & re-greased all the pivot rearings (8), removed and loc-tighted the chain ring bolts, then replaced my entire set of rings, chain & cassette . Bloody did the full monty and it was still creaking. $%#&^!! Finally narrowed it down to the seat post, so replaced the clamp at the bottom, cleaned the rails and clamps at the top - then viola!! The quietest full suspension on the planet, for a week

we believe you Al - honest! It wasn't just a cunning ploy to overhaul/bling out the spider (team issue rings weren't they?) whilst playing the old 'I have to do this dear - you don't want my bike braking on me half way down vic park do you?' card (which is always a good one I find - I'm currently working a similar ploy to excuse whacking carbon rigids on the rat )

Well, at least it sounded like a good excuse at the time!! Yeh, the rings were top rack Race Face rings

Jeebus - I have no idea why someone would want to splash out on carbon rigids. "Hey, I want to rattle all the fillings out of my mouth - I know, I'll get carbon rigids "
