What Size Bars?

What size bars is everyone riding now?

Given the explosion in widths the last few years, how wide have you gone?

760mm

Had extended my 710s to 730, bought 760 with intentions to cut down, never bothered.
Will get same bars to all my off road bikes some day.

760 on a 40mm Stem. Plan on upgrading soon and start off with 780.

760. I have a pair of 710s on another bike and find them scary when I go back. Tried 800... was too much.

I'm running a 800mm Eastern Havoc bar. I don't actually ride my bike though, so the width has never been a problem. HTH

Went from 740 to 785 bars when I got the new whip and thought that was the business until I tried 760mm and that really seems to be the money shot for me... I am to be fair on the tall end of being a short arse tho..

Interesting how many people run 760s.
I'm quite short and get on with them the same as you taller lot.

Started at 810, cut down to 780 and I'm comfortable there. I'm quite wide in the shoulders but I found at 810 my wrists were at a funny angle.

Shoulder width is not consistently in proportion to height?

True, but my friends of different shoulder widths run the same width bars.

I think 760s, too, but they might be 780..? on the 5-Spot

the Klunker has 800s, and they're actually pretty cool - singlespeed good for when you're really cranking - heaps of leverage, but my Spot's width is scary enough in narrow forests as it is, so I reckon 8hundy'd be too wide for all the time...

760s I have settled on

sweep plays a big part, the nukeproofs I've got on now are sweepier than any of the funns I tired in a few widths (785/750/730) and feel much better in general.

DHR = 780
Flux = 740
Yeti ARC = 740
Slacker = 760
Mob = 710 (but needs to be wider)
Soma = 740

That said for the Flux I am tempted to head out towards 750 / 760

760 here too. I used to run 710 on the trail bike, back when I had a DH bike I went 800, then cut to 780 then 760 was the sweet spot. When I put new bars on the trail bike a couple of years back I went 760 straight away, feels good man. My bars are pretty standard numbers, 5 degree up 9 degree back (Enve DH) which I think is the same as the Easton Haven's I used to run.

5/9 back is the same as the nukeproofs/havens/etc

funns and others run less back sweep
