In Paris the funniest thing I saw was a French Cop on a bike go straight over the bars into running to grab an street merchant who was attempting to get away.

What kind of shoes do they wear - cycling (crap for running) or running (crap for cycling) - or issue clompers - crap for both, but otherwise 'kick- arse'

I have thought about this a bit off and on, and what would I ask a MTB cop?

Well, assuming he was about to chase me down the steepest hill with the biggest jumps, I'd look him in the eye, tilt my head slightly to the said and say....

I was going to say, ask what they wear! But other people have already said that. How about, who designed what they wear?

Police On Bikes

Postby stevenm on Thu 27/Nov/08 9:28am

would police consider taking a police dog on a trailer behind the bike? Great for training the dogs or crowded situations where car access is harder.

Dub them back handcuffed to the bars?

depending on the severity of the offence, drag them behind the bike, just cover the accused in something slippery first; chain oil ?

Would the officers consider using a tandem bike each so they could take suspects back to the station for questioning?

Yes, you're right.

Here's another question: Would the police consider attaching a cup holder on the bike so they'd have somewhere to put their coffee while eating donuts and waiting for an APB?
