Build/Ride this Friday, I have the day off (birthday) so I will be looking at focusing around Ressurection, Lower Taniwha area clearing the sides of the tracks and spraying, hope its a cloudy day so its not too hot... The gate will be open and i will look at being there from round 7:30 ish in the morning, hope to have a thrash on the bike too....

Hey, went up for a look at the tracks on Monday morning. You guys are putting a lot of good work in up there and the tracks look great.

Just one suggestion, you should look at defining a narrower single riding line along the motorway, that track is a bit of an ugly scar at the moment (even though the features are cool). Maybe you could drag some crap/logs along the edges to encourage the natural regrowth?

Like along (below or above) the motorway???, Agreed it is ugly from the road or even closer, the trees haven't taken off very well yet but with the gorse getting slashed hopefully it will encourage them to grow.. the main reason i have added the tables is so that the other riders can still ride the track, probably the biggest downfall of the motorway being so big is that it picks up a mega amount of water coming form the chute and surrounding areas, if we were to build a track or try to encourage growth around there i guess we will have to add some solid drainage to deal with the water to limit the erosion..
We will be looking at making a track below the motorway that is all Northshore, which has a lot of trees already taking off but being Natives ( i guess) they are taking their sweet time about it.. But yeah we can see what we can do, another job to the big list :( .. Glad you liked the work being done, just wish i had more time up there :(

Got a good clear done at the top of Ressurection yesterday and got some spray down.. hope to clear down the lower sections next week and get more spray down too, so if someone turning up next week can bring a spray pack that would be awesome weather permitting obviously
