Build this weekend , still unable to get my digger guy :( he is busy for the next 2 weekends but is gonna try to get it in on the 13th or 14th of March, so i think we will continue to clear up the area around the Motorway (gorse etc ) and get the jumps fully marked out, probably look at moving some of the dirt towards the hill to strat on the berms maybe, see how many turn up 8am at the gate

Good build today , have made a few changes to the ground plan, got a lot of dazzle down for marking out the jumps and lines etc , looking like it could be quite something (matt reakons nobody is going to ride Tuna's Tail anymore hahaha ) but i have made some decisions to the entries into Tunas tail so it should make it more interesting..

Got a lot more gorse cut down, its all piled in the centre of the track to die and we should have a good clear on the rest of it next Saturday, if we have a couple of weekends before the digger gets up there we should be able to get it cleared pretty nicely :)

Build this Saturday, probably look at being up there round 7:30am, i actually managed to get up there yesterday for about 40mins and clear some more gorse and used a big log to roll over the bracken and crush it down, We will look at making the gorse into one pile to keep the left hand side as neat as possible... and we will have to lay some drainage down and over Tuna's tail, probab;ly looking at a lot of water coming off the motorway..

I have also aquired some more wood, lots of 4x4 and 6x2 as well as some 18x90 decking etc etc as well as some small posts 300-400 size good for the low structure stuff and entries for ramps.. the wood is out at Ruakaka and i can use the owners trailor, is there anyone who can lend a hand on the tuesday 16th or wednesday 17th of march ???? prob make it early 10am or so pick up and drop off at the hill....

Cheers
Dan

Bloody Hell what a build day today, bigger job than first predicted but we are half way there, Photos below show basically what is happening, hopefully next weekend the jumps will be half built and the rest should be finished by end of march..
Motorway Entry New.JPG
The ramp on right is for the stepup into the gorse above and the track will carry on untill the drop at the bottom of the berm, the ramp to the left is for the bypass table and then to the left of that we will have the structure step up and gap ramp ( which may be 2 gaps but will see)
Motorway Bypass table to berms.JPG
table to berm into wall berm, on the other side of this is the drop for the stepup track, thsi berm section is alot shorter than i had imagined but it will be sweet i think

Big thanks to young Sam and my wife for helping me transport all the wood that we have been donated by NSL at Ruakaka, big trailor and effort to get it up the hill ready for use... Awesome, New motorway is looking pretty good so far maybe some minor changes to the layout but once its all in it should be good as :)
