Sundays build will be on Lower Taniwha, after looking at it last weekend it needs some work.... i now have a new toy, in the form of a rotary hoe...... hopefully this will make lite work of the slippery top on the track as well as making it easy to smooth out the ruts etc etc....so we will look at (depending on how fast we can chew thru it) making it down to the first table top, one of the jumps needs replacing so we will demolish that and set up for a rebuild..... can't wait

Good build today got the Lower Taniwha Trail in the cleanup process.... have staerted trimming off the slippery top and rotary hoeing a water catching trench on the high side, have demolished the jump on the left this will get rebuilt, but the existing was falling apart, next weekend we will clear all of Lower taniwha again and make space for more jumps along the way, the Hoe has proved to be an asset to our build squad after today so will be using it pretty hard out on the trails from now on, might need a service thou :paranoid:

Have scraped away the slick in front of the jump here and have raised the height of the jump also

Jump on left will be changed to a wooden ramp and will make the kicker longer

Have also noticed the trees along the Lower Taniwha Track have really started to take hold and are rocketing away, probably looking at a year and they will be a good 3mt or so which will really make the trail an awesome ride

Yep sure will but Quinamal got a new slasher blade too so either way the gorse will get its ass kicked, but yeah we wikll have a couple of Spray days hopefully soon when we have a week of fine weather prior,i have sprayed the rollercoaster area about a month ago and its only just dieing off now, its amazing how much the lack of heat during winter makes the spray take longer to effect the dieing process :hmmm:

Good build today got Lower Taniwha cleared down to the crossing of the Xc Track have got it looking pretty nice... also got some new signs made up too (photos below) have made some more up too which will pretty much cover all the tracks and also have a bunch of NO HORSE signs and will make up some NO MOTORBIKE ones as well....if you happen to see people up there with motorbikes please tell them politely that they should not be there, if they dont leave let me know and i can pass it onto the council..

New roller coaster sign

New direction signs for Lower Taniwha and Resurrection, yes i am aware that there should be 2 R's in Resurrection too, also are going to be placing more No Horse signs around to as they seem to think its ok to ride on our trails
Sign3.jpg
Looks good apart from the lack of ramp to the structure, will be getting that fixed up before the summer
