where the jump tht mean as[/quote]

The jump is in the skid site at the end of Duck pond road, The PD crew have put in a trail between the clearing on Dragons tail (see pic for entrance (to the left)) and the duck pond rd skid site.
Apparently there used to be a trail that once linked to be rude, not sure how much of that remained and is incorporated in the new. trail is called Te Ara Puna (to the pond)
Have also updated website with recent work, we are going to try and get the Genesis Pump track finished and working perfect for those Summer evening sessions (not that i'm looking forward to summer :) )

its not labelled on the map, so i have personally gone to great effort and expense to produce a map for you :)
the new forest map will be out soon...

The purple line is very roughly dragons tail
The black line is very roughly a skid road that goes to the skid sight where dragons tail has some pump track style features. (that is where Te Ara Puna starts)
The blue line is Te Ara Puna it joins onto a skid site at the end of Duck pond rd which joins onto Larch rd.
The map shows that Duck pond rd hooks round, but it does not.

I rode Te Ara-Puni on Saturday (on my rigid SS) it's good fun, fast and flowy

In no relation to the above comment, there is a tree down at the very top of Frontal Lobotomy, which has been there for a few weeks now, it would be really great to see it no-longer blocking the top of Frontal, will need a chainsaw

Awesome

I might just have to go and check out the genesis pump track (I remember when there was just three jumps there back in the mid 90's)

The thought of that, makes me want to go and check out the old "Super Jumps" which ran/run alongside the gravel section of the nursery climb

the super jumps trail, now kind of referred to as Old Exit? not sure how super those jumps are, :) but its still quite a fun track if you want to give Exit trail a miss

We have completed some more work on the Genesis Pump track and some more drainage work on Huckleberry Hound

Starts at junction of Nursery Rd and the climb to Gunna Gotta (I think its Tokorangi Pa Rd), and you just cross the grass section heading down the hill towards Long Mile Rd, it follows along next to Nursery Rd. Just a short blat but really fun, from memory it was included in the XC National round lap last summer, I think.

When you say it needs no maintenance, i think the PD spent a good few days clearing the blackberry of the trail and i thin k the trail adoptee is out there sometimes :)
maybe it appears to need no maintenance ;)
