Just in case i can not get out on Sat i whipped around the genesis late this afternoon, not sure i have covered exactly where the race is going, (i did a loop from the pump track) and i did not have time to rake up the cut branches. it did not seem quite as bad as rollercoaster, but was certainly need of a trim. Jon i will call you tomorrow if i can make it out Sat, thank you for your offer.
Could be some heavy rain tomorrow clearing for weekend.

James, do the nduro you know you want to...

sorry to hear that, that's gotta be the last thing anyone wants at this time of the economy.

my small syuggestion would be the Billy T drop, this seems to be getting worse. sorry if I've already emailede with that, rum takes the better of me. if you have a similar email from steve mac at NP . com then count this as the same post sorry.

I would make more donation to support you, but credit crunch has hit us all. Unless a morwe deserving member has said the same thing, yea, the post is just a suggestion. I thank you for ages for devoting your newfound spare time to the Whaka trails.

I Think The Billy T trail adoptee (John) has fixed up the big drop.
Might take you up on your offer Mr Bob.

I have just got back from the forest. I see the rain on friday has brought down a lot of deadfall and foliage over hanging the trails. Will do my best to clear Corners and Jump track tomorrow and look at other trails after. Going to be a busy week methinks.

Sadly the weather must have brought some more trees in Gensis so we didn't get to race throught there, after you had cleared it :(

Shame you did not ride Genesis, but it was good that i made some progress with it anyway. I guess there is more to do. (that pump track needs finishing also)
Just got back from a productive few hours in the forest. cleared overhanging buddliea and ponga branches from Huckleberry hound (top of jump track) and whilst I was there I could not stop myself fixing up some of the drains. rode down through corners and did quick clear over overhanging stuff, but have not cleared deadfall. Did enjoy riding down, such a fun trail.

Jeff and I headed out today to look at some of the less flowier parts of Corners and maybe add some Gentle pump rollers unfortunately there was a sudden downpour that was threatening to turn our efforts to slop, so we had to quit, we did clear more drains and overhanging foliage off Corners and a bit of Little Red Riding Huck, so not a complete washout. Irony was by the time we were out of the forest the sun was blazing and had almost dried the road out.
ah well, thems the breaks.

Thanks Mark, Jeff and team.
I am in the same boat as you Mark, but have been using the day off to get in some R&R on the lake (but not in your boat :huh: ). If the weather is against fishing on friday I will walk GG and clear any rubbish and take the machete for a stroll through Rosebank and some of the core trails if still time. I won't have time for a full whack back but just rid the face slappers etc. May see you out there some time. Cheers Dave

Hi Mark;

Some great work on the top section of the jump track. All nice and clear. The top section of Old Pondy has some nasty low hanging branches including one that claimed my friend tonight and gave me a small gash across my arm. There is also a bit of a slip across the trail at the top of new Pondy that I came across on the weekend. Darren
