I presume it will be their regular price... 1 uplift = $10 or 5 uplift anytime card = $30
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong Jeff :)

5 uplift ticket $30
At this stage we don't know the bus turn around time and how many uplifts the shuttle will do in one day, but will know after Saturday.

opp's forgot to check the turn around area.

if you need to level out some of the dirt at the bottom of jawbone feel free to use all the tools that will around the corner towards the bottom of the track.

ALSO afew people have been questioning the pickup points.

As far as im aware the bus will be picking up riders from the bottom of jawbone ,race track and the gravel road turn off jeff mentioned.

How about the 75 uplift anytime card? -- if it's valid for 12 months and if it could be used in other locations (just as passes from Rotovegas and Chch can be used in Welly) then it would be a good option to have, especially if every sixth uplift for club members would still be gratis (!)

well it aint looking that great out there ,it'll be 50/50 whether mr Watson (property owner) allows shuttles today, he is quit protective of the gravel roads and the increased wear diving on it when its wet.

There might just be a bit of a delay till it drys out.

just be prepared for the cold wind up there :D

jeff should be posting a confirmation sometime soon.

reckon it will be on ,weather is improving.

just note there is a lot of clay up there ,mostly on the landings

also the jawbone track will stay greasy all day ,prob wont dry out for a good 4 days , dont get much sun. lots of step sections to test your wet skill stoo

Yar. Yesterday was excellent. The bus turn-around wasn't too bad either. Jawbone, with a little bit of stuffing around (looking at new jumps, waiting for chums etc) could be ridden with the bus turning up about 5 minutes later.

Pickup points were the bottom of jawbone and the bottom of the race track (although it seemed like most people were riding jawbone).

Mint day on saturday - it was chilly in the morning, but the tracks were riding really well. And when the sun came out in the afternoon it was perfect.

Shuttles are on again today (there will be some construction at the bottom of jawbone (a new wooden jump), but everything should be running well). I'm gonna be up there this afternoon once family stuff has been completed

Shuttles start up the gully full time this weekend

details from the south star website:

Southstar Shuttles Wellington
Southstar shuttles operates in Rotorua, Christchurch and Wellington. In Wellington southstar gets you to the top of Long Gully Stations's awesome network of trails. Long Gully has 3 DH trails and Jawbone that is really fun and you can ride on a trail bike or DH bike.Trail Map The trails are generally rocky and steep (in comparison to Rotorua). The WMTBC has plans to develop easier grade 3-4 Super D style trails in the future.

In part recognition of the fantastic trails developed and maintained by the Wellington MTB Club, club members recieve a 6th uplift free when purchasing a 5 uplift card. You can join up here.

What happens if it's raining? The shuttle won't operate. The southstar homepage has daily updates that tell you if the shuttle is running or not. You can text for an update 0276543038 if you're not sure.

When & where

Southstar shuttles operate Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays from 9.30am till 4pm. In addition the shuttle runs Tuesday & Thursday evenings during daylight savings from 5.30pm till dark.

Directions:
Google Map here. From the central city drive up to Brooklyn and follow the signs directing you to the wind turbine. The suburban turn off you are looking for is 48 Ashton Fitchett Drive. Drive past the wind turbine and park near the gate at the far end of the car park (please don't drive past here). The shuttle will pick up from the junction approx 1km past this carpark at 9.30am and 1pm. If you arrive outside these times please ride from the carpark to the next junction and wait there to be picked up. Last uplift 3.30pm

You don't need to book, just turn up at one of the pick-up points. To make a mid-week group booking or get a weather update text/call on 0276543038, email: jeff[at]southstaradventures.com The general rule is if it's raining the shuttle isn't operating. If it's been raining overnight and fines up mid-morning, we often run for the afternoon.
