For these big State highway races - why not get some weathered roadie to ride pillion on a motorbike giving out stop & go penalties.

Nothing makes these old codgers happier than laying down the law and yelling at punters about roadie etiquette - hey at least they wouldn't be out of breath when they do it ;)

It's very exciting to have a PNP Tour looming at Easter. Three days/five stages, starting Saturday morning. Their 2-day tour back in 2007 was what got me hooked on road racing. Something very special about ride/eat/ride/eat/sleep/.... If entries stay at their current level, it's not likely we'll have this opportunity again any time soon - the organisation that goes into something like this beggars belief. Get amongst it!

No license needed, grades A through D. Best bike fun ever :)

And plenty of crashes (well, that was my experience last year).

Pretty reasonable price too. Hope it's a big success!

Though I wonder if (like me) there are many that just cannot fit 3 days of riding in over Easter :(

Spent the day over at the Easter Tour yesterday. Stage 3 with the Clark Cup loop followed by the Kourarau loop and a finish on Limeworks hill turned out pretty brutal made even more so by hot temperatures and strong winds. Last thing I'd have wanted to do after that is a TT!!!

Here's a few shots from the road stage...
