Thanks for the tips Sifter.
Thought I fixed the Beacon Hill map marker but apparently not.
It should be the one at the end of Paratu Way which is off Signallers Grove.

Maybe you could head up there anyway, and see if you can photograph yourself in front of each of the peaks that actually are on the list?

Don't think I've ever ridden for six hours, let alone climbed that much, but kind of tempted to try.

I haven't been up half those hills - is anti-clockwise from Piwakawa a sensible route?

I've done this on a regular MTB and a fixed wheel "CX" bike, so figure using a roadie/running shoes will complete the set.

Looking forward to it!

That'd work fine - it's a fairly natural "loop" this year, so it might just depend on which bits you'd rather ride up than down (Hawkins Hill, Wrights Hill, Tawatawa, etc are all quite different depending on the direction they're tackled from)

Honest days riding/running. Lovely day to be out smashing msyelf. Thanks to those who organised/catered.
In my haste to get to the start I left my topeak alien II multitool by my car just round the corner from Revolution in Farm road. Did any good samaritan find it or pass it in ?
Lucky I didn't get a flat going down tip track on my ridiculously skinny tyres....I think I'll pass on doing that again...

Thanks to Asher and Oli for organising/hosting, and all those who gave directions and/or let me follow. Magic day for it!

Odo was 80km at the end.
