
But instead of using a scale to measure I thought I would use measurements to show progress. I hate scales as they seem to vary so much in what they show.
So is measurement a valid way of doing it?

How accurate do find those sort of scales (non commercial ones)? I had one once that measured composition % but it gave some pretty whack, nonsensical readings. Can you recommend a good brand?
