Wellington Delegation to the 2010 Singlespeed World Championships: Diplomatic Conference
Attn: All Singlespeed Mountain Bikers in the Wellington region.
In preparation for the international conference of the 2010 Singlespeed World Champs on the 23rd of October, there shall be a competition amongst the Wellington SS community. This will allow for the development of international diplomatic negotiation/race strategies, in addition to getting to befriend/enemise some of the local characters who shall be representing the region in Rotorua.
This event is open to all SSers, whether attending the World Champs or not.
The conference race is to be held at Makara Peak on the 17th of October, with entry at a cost of $10. All proceeds of the event will go the Makara Peak supporters who are responsible for the creation and maintenance of the trails.
Registration is on the day in the Skills Area from 9:15-10:15. Race start will be at 10:30. A prizegiving will commence as soon as possible after the final finisher completes the course. Prizes will be awarded for first male and female, DFL, and upon a basis to be determined on the day.
The course to be used is: Skills Area-4WD-Big Tom's Wheelie-Magic Carpet-Live Wires-Koru-Salley Alley-4WD-up Ridgeline-over Summit-down 4WD track towards bottom of Aratihi-onto Leaping Lizard/Aratihi link-up top section of Aratihi-over Summit-down Northface-Smokin'/Ridgeline extension-SWIGG/Starfish-finish.
