When I was growing up there, the river was an open sewer - there were over 70 outfalls with untreated sewage going straight into the river, plus the freezing works dumped untreated waste into the river. So with that in mind plus that fact the Laws has sh*t for brains, and the name argument is just anpother pointless political sh*tstorm, it all points to Roke korua as the perfect name.

I only just found out what roke meant as a result of this thread so it's been useful for something. During my time in the army I knew quite a few Maori guys with the nickname "Rocky" - all of a sudden I'm thinking their mothers didn't really like them.

Hello.

Long time sifter, first time poster.

I wonder what the total cost will be to redo every Wanganui Mongrel Mob gang patch insignia with an 'H' in the name?

If Maurice Williamson changes the name, I'll eat my hat (nom nom nom).
He'd have stuff all to gain, and a lot of voters to further annoy if he did change it.
So I think he'll play the 'Democratic' card and defer to the 'wishes' of the W[h/]anganui residents to avoid having any responsibility for his decision.

I'm thinking like a Poly
