yes search vorb, there is a map posted. is a bit vague on trails in the area however.

On the way skiing on Tues I picked up a hitchhiker who guides in the Caves , and he said there is current mtb trail work under way there ...

Tread Routes wrote:Hi guys, sounds like there are some track to explore, but I am having difficulty finding any more info about them online.

Can anyone tell me the current condition of these tracks?

How many KM in total?

Is there a recommended route or loop?

Is there a map available (online or in print)?

Who manages the trails and who can I speak to about promoting them?

Thanks for any advice,

Hi Ted, the main 1hr ride is in good condition currently, there are tracks that link to Te Raumakau and tapuwae rd plus the teararoa trail, but these are fairly wild currently. I could track you down a pdf of the trail head sign. What kind of promoting are you thinking of? Feel free to give me a call on 0276021201 or Dad(Pete) on 078787621 if it's an easier means of communication.

I rode these a few weekends ago, jungle trails mixed with fire roads.
I think there's a write up and profile in (one of) the kennett brothers books, hit up Steve (Xcmtb) he lives in Waitomo, and can put you in touch with the trail maker
