Waitakere Ranges Local Board Plan

Postby t6t8t6t8 on Tue 22/Jul/14 11:08am

The Waitakere Range Local Board Plan objectives read to me to lack a focus on sport and recreation and specially much in the way of biking stuff. This local board area really lacks bike facilities too. I'd encourge you all to please lodge a wee submission to:

http://www.shapeauckland.co.nz/localboa ... re-ranges/

seeking a focus on things such as (you choose and maybe mix it up a little):

Completing a Greenways Plan within the trimester;
better access to the many parks and reserves;
bike activities for youth and families;
include an additional objectives for sport and recreational;
improved network of paths and off road trails;
better links between green spaces and urban areas and other settlements; and
Objectives that advocate for ‘pump tracks’, ‘learn to ride facilities’, a BMX track, and additional trails in areas where heritage and environmental impacts are able to be managed.
