Crossed bee line on Sat - something of a half way bench mark.

Am well happy

From maturing beech and ferns hiding away in the southern shadows to sunbasking Manuka and views across the basin to the pylon 29/spoon hill ridge.

4hours digging, some fine drainage bixes thanks to Dave Blake and Ben / Cam back on the dig..

A solid effort

Thanks for everyones time, energy and interest.

Cleaning up some unfinished work low down on tuesday if anyone is keen to come along.

6pm at church Tuesday - please let me know so i can bring tools..

Ok, I've been meaning to get out to give you guys a hand for ages and everytime somtheing comes up - I will be there 6pm-6:30ish.
I'll finish work at 5:00pm or so. That'll give me enough time to drive home from wellington and then drive up to Wainuiomata. I can bring my spade/branch cutting tools etc. Any other tools that you think will be needed?

Thursday 6pm and the big one on Saturday at 9am..

spread the word - trail is looking good, this is happening now and we are always needing more helpers.

Lots of work has been going on this week on the lower
section....

One re route complete, one more nearly complete, some
successful graveling work undertaken and the alternate
line around the grassy clearing surveyed, clear and
ready to bench.

Saturday will be up at the front line - On and upwards
above Bee line.

Try and make Sat's dig if you can - We hade a wicked
turn out last Saturday.

As numbers are increasing it might be a cool idea to
bring a pick if you have one (and dont forget your
gloves!!.

Right then, cool see you at 9am tommorow by the Church.

Thanks - T

Fine work men, fine work. usually we get 70 - 80 strides of measured complete single track out of a Saturday morning session.

YESTERDAY we topped out at a massive 125!

Speachless, and no scimping on the quality either!!

There is a distinct risk the NZ army will be employing us all as personal fitness instructors if we keep this up!

Favoite moment for me was squaring off against 'the rock' with Paul and Dave Blake for 3/4 of an hour or so..

Rock 0 - men with pickaxess 1!!

And yes Mat - there will definatly be some trail building in the holidays - might even talk to council about surveying / clearing new Dh trail (text me)..

So come and join in the fun this week or Sat morning..

Hmmm - Digging in the rain can be fun actually - you dont seem to get so hot!

Pahhh! - Anyway bad weather doesn't happen until you think it..

It only gets crappy because folk check the paper/forecast, read 'it will be crappy' and 'voila' - Enough negative energy zipping about to induce a wet spell.

Honestly if only people had a more optomistic outlook it would NEVER be crappy!

Get with the positive thinking - It WILL be fine tommorow, perfect weather for digging in the bush!!

Try the following - "It WILL be fine It WILL be fine It WILL be fine It WILL be fine It WILL be fine It WILL be fine It WILL be fine It WILL be fine It WILL be fine It WILL be fine It WILL be fine It WILL be fine!!"

If the above mantra fails and furry animals of various types and sizes are falling heavily from the sky the dig will be off..

(Drizzle doesnt count though, nor do gale force winds.)

If in doubt call 021 29 24 880 after 8am.

Dont forget your Sunblock..

Applying for a job there. If I get an interview, may be we could link up and chat? Not very fit and lousy at DIY though! Cheers.
