Also to mention that all the Kiwi downhillers staying at our apartment are Tom Holland, Craig Pattle, Glenn Haden and Nathan Rankin, with a guest apperance from Jenna Makgill.
The apartment is used by us each summer, thanks to Simon Roberts at Chalet Eira ( www.chaleteira.com ) who gives me the apartment to use for the summer as I dont get paid for working for him during the winter season. Its not required for summer and is only needed in the winter season as staff accommodation. A similar chalet was rented out for 20000 euros for the summer season so its pretty cool to get this place.
It is a total rundown dump though, its destined to be demolished during the summer of '06 so we wont get it next year.
Its right in the center of Morzine. Its only 200m from our front door to The Pleney gondola.This lift takes you towards Les Gets and to the top of the Pleney DH track.
100m in the opposite direction from the front door is the Super Morzine gondola. This lift takes you in the direction of Avoriaz, Chatel, Linga, Morgins and Switzerland. There are over 16 purpose built taped ou DH tracks. 10 brand new ones were built this year alone.
You can get on a chairlift in France get off the top and your in Switzerland, I think thats pretty cool.
We have 4 rooms Kai ( a Welsh Scotsman with dreadlocks!?) stays in 1 room downstairs, I'm upstairs and the 4 lads share the room next to me. Theres a single bed for Tom and his missus Emma and bunks for Nathan and Glenn to share (guess whos always on top). Craig lives in 'Le Bat Cave', a small windowless wardrobe just off that romm, only just big enough for a single bed.
The last bedroom is used as the workshop, its decorated with broken frames, forks and swingarms. Its a pig sty. There are bikes and bike bits everywhere Kai knows were everything is though.
Downstairs is a clothes shop called 'B Side' where a cute french girl called Constance works...yum shes mint, ask Pattle about her...
Electrics and plumbing are a bit dodgy, you have to unplug the washing machine to brush your teeth or have a shower otherwise you get electrocuted. We got wireless broardband internet though...
Newer version up, shame you cant see it in HD the picture quality is amazing.
EuroTRASH DVD should be (?) coming soon. Over an hour and a half of footage from the last 3 years Swiss Cups, World Cups, French Cups and World Champs plus footage from Chatel, Morgins, Champerey, Les Gets, Croatia, Switzerland, Scotland, Wales, Italy, Germany, Austria.
