Mt Grey Mission 12/5/07

CUMBC rode Mt Grey today, definitely rate the riding there, we took some crappy way up through overgrown brush, but at the top of the hill we were rewarded with tussok-y, rocky singletrack, which then proceeded to become hard out technical switchbacks through beech forest. Roots, rocks, mud, forest and steep hillside :thumbsup:

Na, brought the DH bike as well, but the ride took a LONG time and we were all pretty tired at the end :blush:

Fair enough, we just fluffed around the grom track when we went out there, then rode the 4wd down.

Did the track you guys do start from by "lake" janet or further around?

Don't think so, just ended up fighting our way through some shitty brushy overgrown track to the top of the hill, where we discovered we had just taken a shortcut through the middle of the big loop we were intending to ride, then chose the best looking track we could see to ride down :thumbsup:

No-one had really ridden there before and we were just bluffing our way through it

But we ended up finishing at the river crossing further around where we asked for directions last time.
