Auckland Uni Mtb Club 2010?

Hi, Didn't spot the uni club at the club day last week.

Is the club still operational? If so would be very interested in joining. In my 3rd year at uni and wanting to get back into my riding!

I met up with the The Vic squad half way through my ride last Wednesday and they invited me to join them - the most fantastically friendly bunch you could ever meet - just a small group consisting of Owen Aidan and Andrew from the Bike Barn toolshed, the lovely Amber and a couple of guys I haven't seen before. The group swelled in numbers as we went around the park - we checked out the newly opened North Face via Koru and Aratihi, before I went off to do a bit more on my own.

There's a ride every Wednesday evening, come prepared to discuss international business relations, consumer behaviour models and second year Law . . .

jokes, yeah, I wonder how I missed that. Obviously you urgently need to change to Vic where the discerning students know that a crap education is a small price to pay for EXCELLENT MTBing and social opportunities.

yea mate im at AU aswell and couldnt find it during o-week, they didnt have a listing for it either in the clubs list

Haha yeah would be really keen but I am pretty sure Vic doesn't have a Property Degree

I'm afraid the club was never really all that strong., I think it ticked over for a couple of years.., I almost joined it once, but was too busy climbing on wed nights, (all they seemed to do regularly was wed night woodhill rides)..,

I'm not on campus any more, but still pretty involved in other ak uni outdoor clubs, and we haven't really heard from them, (or had them involved in events like the outdoor clubs ball) for 3 or 4 years I'm afriad..,
