Some trails within the forest are to be closed or modified due to Kauri Die Back Disease that has been found in the soil. The trails concerned are waind-on (to be closed) and antidote (to be modified). Cheers
Two trails will be closed for the next little while, they are Flipper & Tin-Bum. The trees in these areas are to be extracted from Thursday until approx Mid March. Please ride clear of Burma Rd. Cheers

I am involved in a kauri restoration project in the coromandel. because of die back we have blocked mountain biking through the area. are you able to PM me or post what info you have about the current information/status quo? cheers b
Sorry , not my department, I just avoid areas where there is Kauri, so I don't help spread Die Back Disease. As far as I am concerned it has always been here and has always effected Kauri, and there is no avoidance.
