Bigjimmy’s Trailstar updated for some winter thrashing. New paint, Decals, wheels, tires, forks etc….

Rides nice and tight now, ideal burly singlespeed.

Trailstar frames aren't that expensive, just get a new one??

still can't figure how to do it for under 2K.

any cheap hardtails on Trademe with a decent fork? Buy the whole thing and swap all the parts over. I got a P2 for $1200 with Pike 426s and Atomlab GI wheelset then it was $600 or so for a new Trailstar frame
I've upgraded the parts to XT since then but you could get a complete Trailstar for around $2k

nup. there are none on TM at the moment that are even worth a look. i was thinking of doing the same thing. ideally an older stp0 that came with pikes. but they don't come up that often.
