So, we are on the hunt for a new camping ground for our family summer holidays. Key requriements are...
Anyone got any recommendations?
Yeah the Top 10 there looks pretty good. I havent stayed there, but have been there for work a couple of times, its right in between the beach and Papamoa Beach Rd, at the end of Domain Rd.Colin wrote:Papamoa

If you want to go south, one of my favourite places is Pohara just out of Takaka - there's riding, especially if you find a local to show you. Close to Nelson for Tour de Vineyards When I was last there there were tent cities - I think you would approve
Edit - no waves at that beach - but huge tide and you can just float in the shallows at high tide and it's like a warm bath
DogsBollocks wrote:Yup, Pohara is great but we started going to Motueka Top 10 which is bloody brilliant. 10 mins in the car to beaches/rivers and fantastic MTB within 1/2hr either way. Rameka, around Kaiteri, Flara saddle, Ngatimoti (even has a pump track !) The camp ground is only 5 mins walk from town but you wouldn't know it. Great for the kids and safe.
