Makara Peak Planting Party - Sunday 5th July - Ridgeline

Postby Melissa_Theuriau on Thu 2/Jul/09 8:21am

Meet at the bottom end of Ridgeline this Sunday from 10am. Find a blue van, digging tools and some plants looking for a home and you're in the right place.

If you forget where to meet or what to look for, there will be a message left in the carpark on South Karori Road.

The planting will be led by Dave F., starting from 10am through to early afternoon. Please come up and join in at any time, any and all assistance is appreciated. No experience is needed and all tools and lunch will be provided.
Questions? Please contact us at supporters@makarapeak.org.nz or via the discussion forum at www.makarapeak.org

Thanks!
Grateful thanks to the many helpers who have been out preparing planting areas and planting trees in the Park.

Our first planting party planted 140 trees on the south bank of South Karori Stream and inland a bit amongst the scrub, opposite the big bend on the Koru side of the stream. Special thanks to Don who spent many hours clearing the planting areas of gorse, blackberry and just about everything else.

Reminder - Makara Peak Supporters AGM - Thursday 13 August
Our AGM will be held at the Karori Rec Centre, put the date in your calendar, with more details to come.
