PNP's annual Hawkins Hillclimb was held on Sunday. It challenged Road Riders, Mountain Bikers & Runners in a race to the top of Hawkins Hill.

We had terrific sponsors on board: R&R SPORT plus io Altitude Simulation
Please call in to R&R Sport in Victoria St to see all their great bikes, accessories & clothing.
Lots of great winter gear is in there at the moment. Lee Poston works there & knows lots about bikes.

io gave away Altitude Simulation training vouchers.Bronwyn from io is great to talk to about passive training & recovery. She is half way up Plimmer steps on the right. Pop in for a chat.

PNP donated half the profit to Makara Peak Supporters $410 and half to
PNP High Performance Fund $410.

The Perpetual Cups donated by Makara Peak Supporters were won by
Stu Houltham (MTB) in a course record time under 24mins & Marjoline Ros (RUN) in under 30mins
Alex Revell finished in a great 2nd place just ahead of Gav McCarthy both on MTB's
The fastest Roadie was Clive Bushlove Bennett in 27m 25s
The fastest runner was Tony Bushlove Keith in 28m 01sec

It could be the dollar $$. Theres a lot of stuff out there to do, and it is late in the season.
I am looking forward to Mikes Cyclo-cross race. Mainly because

1. I can afford it!
2. I have always wanted to do a CX race, and those crazy short-course MTB races from last year were great fun.

We've all gone soft. We didn't want to steal the Bushlove limelight :p
