More Ncea Funtimes

New NCEA results show thousands of students are still picking up valuable credits for stunningly simple tasks including talking to a friend about the weather, reading Wikipedia, listening well or writing a personal email.

........
Teachers can come up with any task as long as it fits the NZQA rules. Some suitable tasks recommended by NZQA include talking to a friend on the phone, role-playing applying for a benefit, answering a phone survey, filling in a passport application or reading Wikipedia.

I love it. Role-playing dole bludging

Maybe if you worded the standard correctly, you may have to add some thing like 'How to steal ...' to the front of it before it becomes legitimate

Speaking as a teacher, a lot of NCEA is bullkaka. Especially in Art, where it takes about 6 weeks work to get 6 credits, but kids are racking up huge credits in that space of time in ICT. Crazy. What pisses me off the most is that you get the same credits even if you get a merit or excellence, what's the point of trying when there is no extra reward? :paranoid:

If we get the bread, who gets the cake?

It's not communism until someone is seen with the cake.

NCEA blames the students. Students blame NCEA because it doesn't teach them jack-shit, unless your one of those youths in South Auckland who don't generally give a flying fuck about their education. The National party initially manufactured NCEA as a PR stunt, and it seems to have worked remarkably well considering the blame Labour gets for it. China refused to manufacture NCEA, fearing it would harm their reputation.
