There used to be a lot of races out there to. One guy used to run them, start and finish at the camp ground. They were great. Camp for the weekend and race then go lie on the beach to recover(read drink beer).

I've never ridden any of them actually. Looking on Strava, people still are. Might be worth a look. Is Freeridden still going?

I had a great ride on Sunday - couple of new trails, and everything is more or less the same as it always was. Great winter alternate to Riverhead.

I never even knew there were trails out there.

Is there a site with info about them?

Not really. They're on the down low - In the past the a couple of local residents got upset about. Enough to start digging holes in the trails...

I've never had any problems though.
