Today there are chainsaw operators in the forest and tree's are falling, you might want to stay out for your own safety

You would be the only person in the last 20 or so years who hasnt ridden there without a permit. You missed some good riding.

and its not being replanted.

i was last told that it was to convert to lifestyle blocks. the front facing UH to go into native.
this may have changed with the current economic climate though. i'll check tomorrow.

they are only logging moonshine forest by the way, not st pats. but you would all know it only as one forest known in general as "st pats forest". it is actually 2 separate forests, each with different owners.

Went riding in St Pats this arvo. A real mess at the Moonshine Road entrance, but no logging going on today. Real wet and muddy after the last couple of days, but still good fun!!

My advice would be get in and enjoy it in the weekends while there's no logging, before they take the rest of the trees.

Was always a good sheltered ride for cold and wet days, as well as good fun in the summer.

How do you get permission? Just ring St Pats and ask or is there someone specific at St Pats I need to ask for? Where are the entrances/exits? Thanks

so does anyone know wht the curentstate of st past is? i went up there a month or two ago and the first major T intersection was all logged but the singletrack was still thriving...

logging is underway. very wet due to rain and the wind is not able to dry out under the trees.

and you are not allowed to ride there, as above.

go get permission, or ruin access for everyone.

if you think its ok to ride here, then go ride all the walking only trails in wgtn too. you guys seem to think its ok to ride anywhere.

did you know there is a private forest up Avro. why not ride there too?

We do ride up there we ride everywhere! lambton quay i even rode on the ferry once that was mint
