Wgtn Red Rocks Track Temporary Closure

Sections of the Red Rocks track and Te Kopahou trig to WW2 bunkers track will be temporarily closed between 06/05/09 to 09/05/09.Contractors are cutting back gorse along the track edges as these are in danger of closing over.A large digger with flail head will be used,these have a habit of firing out chunks of wood and it is difficult for the operator to see approaching bikes or walkers.

For this reason access to these tracks will be closed.The Tip track will still be open unless signposted otherwise.Please observe extra caution while riding in Te Kopahou btwn 06/05/09 and 12/05/09.Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
