New Track Signs @ Pukeora

On Saturday the new track signs were installed at all entrances, exits and intersections within Pukeora Hill MTB Park, just out of Waipukurau.

These signs are the new format that the HBMTBC will now be using, which incorporate the 6 new trail difficulty level symbols (Beginner, Easy, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert and Extreme) & trail name on a flexible white 'road edge marker post'.

The signage at Pukeora doesn't include the trail length, but the new signage for Eskdale MTB Park does include the trail length (to the nearest 100m - ie: 1.3km).
The Eskdale signs will be installed after the production thinning has been completed - which is expected to start mid April, 2009.

Do they have reflectors on so we can see them at night?

No, these signs don't have reflectors on them.

Due to the Production Thinning operation at Eskdale now being delayed until Spring 2009, we have made a start on replacing the track signs at Eskdale - at this stage just at the Tait Rd end (where the Kids Jam course was).
Over the next couple months we'll make our way around the park removing the old timber signs & replace with these new ones.
