big difference as i see it is that now they are going to have the other GC contendors attacking them! and no point attacking when you have jersey and risking blowing yourself up!

i rate menchov's chances now, he looked pretty strong.. very impressive. But two mountain stages to come, lots of chances to blow like a 2 dollar hooker

This time around, jersey colour is not hugely important - Evans will still be seen as the biggest threat, and treated as virtual maillot jaune. It may cause a bit of tactical confusion, letting breaks get away, but at the end of the day, when the crunch hits in the hills, it'll be the same as it has.
