You seals may actually be ok and just popped loose because of the extra oil.

Hmmm, now there's an idea.. Guess I better try that first.

So, only those seals then? no air-specific ones, low pressure is right, I ran 35-45psi from memory

Oil seal and dust wiper only

No garks or nicks on the stanchions??

how much extra oil?? (10 or 20ml each leg max I hope?)

Did you install the oil seal up the right way??

Have yet to pull it to bits, and didn't remove any seals when I changed the oil, so no chance of putting em in upside down [cheers for the warning though - will note which way up old ones come out]
Didn't measure ml when topping up oil - just mm from top with fork fully compressed, and no, not sure how much too much, but pretty sure it was more than the old +/- 5% rule allows for.
[It did make them lovely and linear for a while]

Have inspected the dust wipers from outside, look fine + not proud of their seats, but considering the age of the fork, and my future plans for it, an enduro kit would probably be sensible.

cheers all, knew I'd get some good hints from PBR ;)

Yeah don't do that with Kona, for a solid month or two last year they had photos of the Stab with a saint build kit when it only came with X7 and Elixir R stuff. And vice versa for the higher specced one.

Is there any benefit to having one of these:

Instead of a conventional DHX 5.0?
