NZers get reamed out hard when it comes to game prices. Having the dedicated game store market dominated by one company = suckass for all us who want to, like, buy games.

yeah games over priced alright. I reckon BF1943 @ $25 NZ was fantastic value for money, played it heaps of times ( so far 3 days 21 hours and 55 minutes or 424 games) unlike Big Little Planet, paid $100 - played it a couple of times then gave it away, as I could not see what all the fuss was about.

1943 had the advantage of not being sold through price-gouging EB Games stores... It's spectacular value for money. Esepcially as I was able to DL it from my account onto a friends ps3 without additional purchase, and now he's also able to play it (even when I'm playing :0 )

Anyone got Bad Company 2? I'm enjoying 1943 so much at the moment that I think I'd like to get something a little more meaty to play with...

Looks pretty good to me. I played the first one, and the multiplayer was much the same as BF1943, only more options weapons etc.

I heard BC2's multiplayer is a slower paced, more tactical thing than prior battlefields. Not necessarily a bad thing - my favourite evar multiplayer game was SWAT3. Well, maybe not evar but it was pretty good.

In other news, last night I paratrooped down onto the top of an enemy USMC tank and managed to chuck a grenade down the hatch on top... I thought, OH MAN THIS WILL BE THE BEST KILL EVER... But turns out they don't destroy the tank outright when you do that. I was super dissapointed :(

I picked it up today... I've been loving 1943 lately, and thought I'd give it a whirl.

The MP is well cool. Classic Battlefield. Only just scratched the surface really. I managed a six kill streak earlier (gunner in a tank, mowing down infantry. Awesome fun). I'm looking forward to getting some of the unlocked weapons and gadgets, but even as a n00b your stuff can still kill pretty damn well :)

YFY, I'm cleaning up!! Just had an 18-kill game, including capping five flags and only six deaths. Second to top on my team as well. BC2 seems to reward low-and-slow(...er) gameplay. If you're careful and chill out in cover you're hard to spot and hard to hit... And then you get to pwn the guys who are running around in the open  Good game.

When you melee kill people you collect their dogtags... And you gets yourself a cool permanent list of people who you've slaughtered... Really neat feature :D

I can tell from the name that it's awful...

Sounds like the object of the game is to be a panicing schoolgirl trying to finish her school project so that teacher doesn't yell at her
